RIGUAL has developed a kIT to carry out and control the efficient application of slurry, all based on a system that includes traceability through a conductivity meter and dosing system, a range of systems that integrates an inductive conductivity meter with a PLC specifically designed for mobile applications in demanding environments and, optionally, a display screen, which provides the user with information on the nutrients in the slurry by communicating via messages on the CAN line with the compatible traceability system installed in the tank.

- The inductive conductivity meter is easy to install, robust and much less sensitive to dirt than traditional electrode conductivity meters.
- The PLC can communicate with the compatible traceability system and its optional display allows the user to choose the type of pig farm involved and the corresponding table to be applied, thus improving the accuracy of the measurement.
The PLC provides the compatible traceability system with conductivity measurements. The processing of this data to transmit the required information to the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya must be carried out on the traceability system supplier's own servers. The kit for this system consists of the following elements:
- Toroidal inductive conductivity meter.
- Parts for installation of the conductivity meter on the tank in two options:
- To open a new hole in the tank and weld.
- To make use of an existing, unused cutter. - Connection cable from the conductivity meter to the PLC.
- Connection cable from the PLC to the communications equipment via CAN-BUS line and power supply.
The PLC is connected to a display to allow the user to visualise the slurry conductivity and nutrient content, calculated according to the formula published by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya Through the CAN line, the PLC provides the traceability and communications compatible system with the conductivity measurements and NPK values calculated according to the selected calculation formula. The display included in this kit will show the user, at all times, the conductivity value measured and the calculated values of the nutrients in the slurry. The kit for this system consists of the following elements:

The PLC is configured by means of its XL screen to choose the most suitable calculation formula for the slurry being used. The system is supplied integrated with the five lines published by the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya and it is also possible to easily introduce two user-configurable lines if you have data on your product. Through the CAN line, the PLC provides the traceability and communications compatible system with the conductivity measurements and the NPK values calculated according to the selected calculation formula. The display included in this kit allows the system to be configured and will show the user, at all times, the measured conductivity value and the calculated values of the nutrients in the slurry. A procedure is available to recalibrate the conductivity sensor with a standard solution of known conductivity. The kit for this system consists of the following elements:

The dosing system includes the elements shown in the diagram:
- Conductivity meter: Measures conductivity, which allows the nutrient richness of the slurry to be calculated.
- Speed reader: Which will be different according to the type of vehicle on which the tank is installed.
- PLC: performs the calculations and controls the entire system. It calculates the slurry flow rate to be applied according to the following parameters:
- Desired dose indicated by the user via the display.
- Nutrient richness of the slurry, calculated from the conductivity reading.
- Width of application.
- Instantaneous vehicle speed. - Display: Allows the user to control the system and provides information.
- Flow meter: Measures the flow rate of slurry applied at any given moment.
- Dosing valve: Controlled by the PLC. Regulates the amount of slurry applied.
- Various elements for the assembly of the components.
- Connection to the traceability system.
